Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series returns to St. Augustine in February

The series includes Snarky Puppy, Tower of Power, Dinner Party, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and one headliner to be announced, organizers said.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Seriesis set for its fourth event from Feb. 6-16, 2025, with Macy Gray among the announced headliners.

Held at Fort Mose Historic State Park, the series includes Snarky Puppy, Tower of Power, Dinner Party, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and one headliner to be announced.

The event "also honors the historical significance of Fort Mose, the site of the first legally sanctioned free African settlement in what is now the United States."

Tickets for the 2025 Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series go on sale this Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. at DiscoverFortMose.com. A portion of proceeds from a charity fee built into each ticket will support the Fort Mose Historical Society, organizers said.

Fort Mose is the site of the first legally sanctioned free African settlement in what is now the United States and it was designated as a Historic National Landmark in 1994.
