Movie dedicated to 2 killed in Ocala plane crash

A zombie movie will be dedicated to two men who died in a plane crash while filming near Ocala.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office says a pilot and passenger are dead after a plane crash Sunday evening in Summerfield.

SUMMERFIELD, Fla. (AP) - A zombie movie will be dedicated to two men who died in a plane crash while filming south of Ocala.

Bronson Mosley told the Ocala Star-Banner that 'What Tomorrow Brings' will honor Dennis Monroe and Joseph Sardinas. They died April 6 when their plane apparently lost power while flying low to film about 30 'zombie' extras on the ground.

The film was nearing completion when the crash occurred.

Officials say 65-year-old Monroe was piloting the two-seater, single-engine plane while 70-year-old Sardinas filmed.

The National Transportation Safety Board is examining the aerial footage shot that day.

The film was originally set for a May release. But Mosley says he's hoping for a June opening at Ocala's historic Marion Theatre, complete with a red carpet and awards ceremony.
