JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s a fishing tournament for a good cause. On Oct. 14, fishing lines will once again drop into the water for the 14th annual Flounder Pounder Fishing Tournament.
On Saturday, Flounder Pounder Fishing Tournament Founder and Tournament Director Chip Davis joined Good Morning Jacksonville along with his son, Tyler, to talk all about the upcoming event.
The tournament operates as a fundraiser for the Jacksonville School for Autism and since 2010, the tournament has raised nearly $1.2 million for the school. This year’s tournament is a 3-fish aggregate for the general division with a top prize of $5,000. The women’s and junior division are single fish.
