JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The World Surf League Air Force Super Girl Pro is coming to Jacksonville to celebrate its third year at the Jacksonville Beach and SeaWalk Pavilion on Nov. 10-12.
More than 100 top female pro-surfers will be in attendance for the second-largest female surf contest in the world. All competitions and activities are free to the public.
Some of the biggest names in women’s surfing are expected to attend, including five-time World Champion Carissa Moore, Pipe Masters Champion Moana Jones-Wong, current U.S. Open Champion Sawyer Lindblad, and defending Super Girl Pro Champion Alyssa Spencer, ASA Entertainment announced on Thursday.
New elements for 2023 include a women’s paddleboarding event, a female content creators showcase, and a women’s pro skimboarding event.
In addition to world-class surfing, there will be a Festival Village at the SeaWalk Pavilion with live concerts and family-friendly activities.
The Super Girl Concert Series will include 12 artists performing FREE LIVE CONCERTS such as Sean Kingston, Joywave, St. Lucia, We The Kings, OMI, Honey Hounds, Surfer Girl, Hello Sister, Bombargo, Hayes Warner, The Band Light, and local band Parks and Razz.
People can expect the annual Super Girl Gamer esports tournament, an all-female DJ competition, a professional skateboarding competition, and women's beach soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse tournaments.
For fitness fanatics, there are free classes for yoga, Zumba, wellness, and dance.
There will also be a female art exhibit, panel discussions promoting female leadership and sustainability, and autograph signings.
People can also participate in a mentorship event with Olympic Gold Medalist Carissa Moore.
The event is part of the Super Girl Series, a mission-based platform that includes four women’s action sports, esports, and lifestyle events designed to promote female empowerment, inclusion and equality.
“We are thrilled to have such an exciting and diverse lineup of activities at the event in addition to world-class surfing,” said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment, the event’s producer.
“The Air Force has been part of Super Girl for 10 years and recognizes the importance of offering opportunities to young women in areas where they have been underrepresented. Having the Air Force in the title partner role makes so much sense given their long-standing backing of the entire Super Girl Pro platform and the strong military community in Jacksonville.”
The surf portion of the event will run daily at the Jacksonville Beach Pier from Friday, Nov. 10 through Sunday, Nov. 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Festival Village at SeaWalk Pavilion will run on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Access to surfing, concerts, esports, panels, classes, speakers, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, DJs, skateboarding, and all elements are free to attend.
