JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s time to embrace your inner kid. The new LEGO store just opened its doors at the St. Johns Town Center. It is located by Dillard's on River City Drive.
The walls are stocked with colorful kits. You can even build your own LEGO Minifigure. There are bins filled with hair, heads, legs and even accessories.
On Wednesday, one couple in the store was making some for their son. He loves pizza and surfing. I even made one look like me.
You can find all of your favorites. There are kits from Harry Potter, Star Wars and even F.R.I.E.N.D.S. The largest LEGO set released is the Millennium Falson. It features 7,541 pieces and it costs $799.99.
The name "LEGO" is an abbreviation of the two Danish words “leg godt”, meaning “play well”. And that's exactly what this store makes you want to do.
The store is open right now, but finishing touches are still being put on some of the displays.
The grand opening will be Oct. 5 and 6 from noon to 6 p.m. There will be a Master Builder creating a giant LEGO sculpture, interactive LEGO displays, prizes and much more. There will also be exclusive Jacksonville minifigures. You can get one for free if you buy $50 or more of legos.
