Andrew Badillo joined First Coast News in 2021 as a multiskilled journalist.
Born and raised just outside New York City, Andrew spent his entire life immersed in the No. 1 television market in the country. An avid New York sports fan growing up, Andrew made it his goal to one day become a sports broadcaster.
In 2017, Andrew landed his first job out of college. In 2017, he joined WVII/WFVX in Bangor, Maine as its weekend sports anchor and eventual rose to become sports director. During his time in the Pine Tree State, Andrew covered the 2018 AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and Jaguars (talk about coming “full-circle”). He also traveled to Utah and Washington to cover the University of Maine football team’s run to the FCS semifinals. He earned several awards from the Maine Association of Broadcasters for his work.
Andrew graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut with a degree in broadcast journalism.
When he’s not at work, Andrew enjoys golfing and exploring new outdoor adventures with his fiancé, Alex, and their corgi, Oliver.
