Semi-truck fire closes lanes on I-295 south exit ramp to Main Street

Traffic is slowly moving but backed up for miles.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A semi-truck was on fire on I-295 south exit ramp to Main Street, Jacksonville Fire Rescue and Department said. A hazmat team has been requested for a fuel pump off. 

Update 5:46 p.m.: One left lane has been reopened.

All lanes were blocked both ways onto the ramp. Delays span over a large part of the I-295 north loop, from Duval Road to Zoo Parkway. 

No injuries were reported by the Jacksonville Fire Rescue and Department.

Firetrucks and an ambulance are currently on the scene.
