JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Drivers who normally take the JTB during rush hour experienced a traffic nightmare Thursday afternoon after the eastbound lanes of the JTB near the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge shut down. Traffic was backed up for miles.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said a car caught on fire. No word on whether or not anyone has been injured.
A camera with the Florida Department of Transportation showed traffic has backed up all the way near Kernan Boulevard.
JFRD also tweeted that there was a traffic accident on the westbound lanes of the JTB that also resulted with stand-still traffic.
