Jacksonville misses out on hosting the NFL Draft in 2019, 2020

This year's NFL Draft will be hosted at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas (April 26-28), where the Dallas Cowboys play their home games. Since 2015, the NFL has alternated locations for the draft.

The Jaguars and Jacksonville will miss out on hosting the NFL Draft until at least 2021.

The NFL listed the finalists for the 2019 and 2020 drafts on Thursday. The group features the following cities: Cleveland/Canton, Kansas City, Tennessee, Denver and Las Vegas.

The winners for each year will be announced in May at the annual Spring League Meeting in Atlanta. Cities will only be granted one hosting opportunity per bid. There will not be a repeat winner.

The Jaguars submitted a statement of interest to the NFL in August, a team spokesperson told First Coast News. The overview of the team's pitch for the event included the use of Daily's Place, the team's flex practice field and EverBank Field.
