SWAT called out to East Arlington, warrant out for suspect's arrest

A SWAT callout ended Saturday morning with a search warrant for the suspect.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A SWAT callout ended Saturday morning with a search warrant for the suspect. JSO was called to a mobile home at the 10000 block of Anson Rd. just before 9 p.m. Friday. They said a man threatened his two roommates with a gun then barricaded himself in his home.

Neighbors tell First Coast News officers went door to door asking residents to leave. The small neighborhood off Cortez Road was blocked off for at least eight hours.

During the ordeal, SWAT tore three large holes to the side of the home. When they went inside, they could not locate the suspect.

JSO has not identified the man, but they say they have a warrant for his arrest.

Neighbors say the suspect is a veteran with PTSD. They say he moved in one month ago, but police are called to the property at least once a week.

“I’ve seen a lot of sketchy stuff. It’s about once a week where they’re having to call police, or ambulance, or there’s fighting going on,” said one neighbor, who wanted to stay anonymous.

JSO says the two roommates who made the call got out of the home safely, but neighbors remain on edge while the suspect is still on the run.
