Jacksonville Fire and Rescue crews responded to a shipment truck fire on Blount Island in north Jacksonville Friday afternoon.
JFRD tweeted that their units responded to the 5200 block of William Mills Street around 4 p.m. Friday, reporting heavy smoke coming from the area.
What JFRD originally reported to be a structure fire, turned out to be a fire to what appears to be a shipment or container mover.
Blount Island is home to the Blunt Island Marine Terminal, JAXPORT's largest facility and one of the largest vehicle import/export centers in the United States, according to JAXPORT's page.
