JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A massive fire has engulfed a Southside home Friday, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
As of 5:20 p.m., JFRD tweeted that the fire is located in the 7800 block of Monterey Bay Drive is under control.
Several crews on the scene also kept the fire from spreading to neighboring homes. They say the fire scorched through the roof.
At this time, there is no word on what caused the fire.
The home was valued at over $450,000.
