A man who was reported missing Friday in Flagler County has been found deceased in a marsh area near Bings Landing Saturday morning, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
The man’s body was positively identified as Robert Barshied.
“Not the outcome we were hoping for but at least we can provide some closure to the family,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.”
Barshied was reported missing yesterday to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
He was last seen leaving his residence on his bicycle.
After an extensive search that lasted until almost midnight involving our Marine Unit, Posse and deputies along with FWC and Flagler County Fire/Rescue's Fireflight, he was located early this morning in a marshy area of the Intracoastal Waterway. No foul play is suspected.
