USS Sioux City arrives at Naval Station Mayport

The shipped docked before 9 a.m. where sailors were greeted by several family members.

It's the first naval vessel to be named in honor of Sioux City, Iowa, which is the fourth-largest city in the state.

The ship cost about $362 million and measures about 378 feet long with a beam of 57.4 feet, according to Military.com. Its top speed is 45 knots, the fastest surface combatant in the fleet, according to the commissioning committee.
