Two people received first-degree burns after their small boat went up in flames.
According to a Facebook post from St. Johns County Fire Rescue, witnesses the engine was engulfed in flames after one of the men aboard attempted to start it. The boat was in a narrow canal near the Palm Valley Bridge when this fire occurred.
Both people aboard were treated for first-degree burns and released at the scene. Fire investigators and FWC are investigating the cause of this fire.
