A ship hull has washed ashore in Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve on Wednesday.
The size of the ship is approximately 40-feet long. Beach services is trying to remove the hull to higher ground before high tide.
A team of archeologists from LAMP (Lighthouse Archaeological Maritime Program) is on the way to conduct research.
According to officials, 74% of shipwrecks of the coast from Florida are from the 19th Century so it's likely this ship is also from the 19th century. The exact age/century of that ship is from is unknown.
