FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. — A Fleming Island man was found in a retention pond near an apartment complex Monday morning, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said the body of 34-year-old Brandon Michaelis was discovered at the Lighthouse at Fleming Island apartment complex. While the cause of death is unknown, authorities are not suspecting foul play based on preliminary findings.
The investigation is active, the sheriff's office said.
