JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One person is in the hospital Friday morning after an apartment fire in the Lakewood area of Jacksonville.
The call came in around 7:30 a.m., according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department's spokesperson Tom Francis. Crews responded to the 6400 block of Stanford Rd. and put the fire out.
Francis confirmed one person was transported to the hospital. The person's condition is unknown at this time.
It is also unknown how many people were displaced because of the fire.
